Value proposition
Datasection supplies large-scale GPU clusters and AI compute capacity to global hyperscalers and AI infrastructure platforms. Its pitch rests on three things: GPU procurement through Taiwanese ODMs, power and data-center capacity secured across APAC, and TAIZA, a unified cloud stack for running clusters in several countries.
Products and solutions
AI Data Center / AI Cloud: the TAIZA proprietary AI cloud stack (launched Mar 2025) and GPU clusters with NVIDIA B200/B300. Data Science: consulting, data platform/BI, algorithm development, DX/AI talent training. Marketing Solutions: FollowUP in-store camera analytics for retail and Insight Intelligence social listening. System Integration: contract development of AI and software, including financial systems.
Unique value
Datasection says it is the only Japanese company building large-scale AI clusters while also securing GPUs, power and customers globally. It went from zero to about 20,000 GPUs in operation in roughly eight months.
Target customer
Global cloud service providers, AI infrastructure platforms and AI labs that need large GPU capacity. The older business lines serve Japanese enterprises and retailers with data science, social listening and system integration.
Industries served
AI infrastructure / cloud computing, retail, marketing & media, financial services, enterprise IT
Technology advantage
GPU procurement partnerships with the Taiwanese manufacturers GIGA COMPUTING, Inventec and Compal; Foxconn is also reported. The proprietary TAIZA stack manages clusters across regions and is operated with NVIDIA-certified partner CUDO Ventures. Data-center sites are in Japan (Inzai, Chiba; Osaka planned), Australia (DigiCo SYD1, Sydney) and Thailand (Bangkok).
How they differentiate
Domestic peers rely heavily on METI GPU subsidies and mainly serve Japanese demand. Datasection instead pursues global hyperscaler offtake contracts across several countries (Japan, Australia, Thailand, with a pipeline to the UAE). It leases third-party data centers rather than owning facilities, and sources GPUs aggressively through Taiwanese ODMs.
Main competitors
Sakura Internet, Highreso (Hi-Res), KDDI / SoftBank / GMO Internet GPU cloud
Key partnerships
CUDO Ventures (UK): business alliance Feb 2025, LOI for a 55.98% stake, capital alliance Jun 2025. DigiCo Infrastructure REIT: Sydney SYD1 facility, Oct 2025. Compal Electronics: USD 325M deal for 5,080 B300 GPUs, May 2026. Inventec: Dec 2025 purchase of about 10,000 B300 GPUs. GIGA COMPUTING. NauNau Japan: business alliance and sales intermediary. Historical alliances: Hakuhodo, TBS Holdings, Kyodo News Images, and KDDI (ended 2021).
Notable customers
An undisclosed major US AI infrastructure platform (contract signed Sep 2026, service live Oct 2026). An undisclosed large global cloud service provider served via NauNau Japan, reported by the FT as Tencent but unconfirmed.
Major milestones

Growth metrics
FY03/26 net sales were ¥33.6B (about $217M), up 933% year on year. FY03/27 guidance is ¥162.2B in net sales and ¥24.8B in operating profit. TAIZA was running 20,180 GPUs as of May 18, 2026. Paid-in capital was ¥9.84B as of Jun 30, 2026.
Market positioning
Datasection is an emerging Japanese neocloud. FY03/26 revenue was ¥33.6B, up 933% year on year. Nearly all AI infrastructure revenue came through the intermediary NauNau Japan from one undisclosed large cloud provider, so customer concentration is very high. The FT reports that customer is Tencent; Datasection has neither confirmed nor denied this. Short-seller Wolfpack Research has alleged export-control violations; these are unproven allegations.
Geographic focus
Japan, Australia, Thailand, with an expansion pipeline to the UAE; global customers including US AI infrastructure platforms
