About Alexander Gallego

Alexander Gallego is the founder and CEO of Redpanda, a company he established in 2019. He is a systems engineer with a background in low-latency storage, distributed stream processing, databases, and networking. Before Redpanda, he co-founded and was the CTO of Concord.io, a stream-processing engine that was acquired by Akamai in 2016. He has also worked as a software engineer at Akamai Technologies and YieldMo. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from New York University's Tandon School of Engineering.
