Value proposition

Delivers GPU-accelerated compute that is significantly faster and more cost-effective than legacy hyperscalers by using a Kubernetes-native stack optimized for NVIDIA hardware without the overhead of traditional virtualization.

Products and solutions

["On-Demand & Reserved GPU Instances (NVIDIA H100, H200, A100, L40S)","Kubernetes-native Cloud Infrastructure","NVIDIA InfiniBand Networking (up to 3200Gbps)","High-Performance Flash & Shared File Storage","Bare Metal GPU Services","CoreWeave Cloud (Proprietary Orchestration Platform)"]

Unique value

Unlike general-purpose clouds (AWS/Azure) built on CPU-first legacy architectures, CoreWeave is built 'GPU-first,' offering bare-metal performance with the flexibility of a modern cloud via a proprietary containerized orchestration layer.

Target customer

Generative AI labs, enterprise AI engineering teams, VFX and animation studios, and life sciences researchers.

Industries served

["Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning","Media & Entertainment (VFX/Rendering)","Life Sciences & Genomics","Financial Services (Quantitative Modeling)","Real-time Graphics & Metaverse"]

Technology advantage

Maintains 'Elite' NVIDIA Cloud Service Provider status, granting priority access to next-generation silicon (Blackwell/B200) and a massive capital moat through unique asset-backed financing structures led by major institutional investors.

How they differentiate

CoreWeave offers a 'GPU-first' architecture that provides bare-metal performance without the overhead of traditional virtualization. As an 'Elite' Nvidia Cloud Service Provider, it secures priority access to the latest silicon (H100, B200) and utilizes a Kubernetes-native stack optimized specifically for large-scale AI training and inference.

Main competitors

["Lambda Labs","Amazon Web Services (AWS)","Microsoft Azure"]

Key partnerships

["NVIDIA (Strategic Investor and primary hardware partner)","Blackstone & Magnetar Capital (Lead financing partners)","Microsoft (Infrastructure collaboration to support Azure's AI capacity)","Pure Storage (High-performance data storage integration)"]

Notable customers

["Microsoft","Mistral AI","Anyscale","NovelAI","Telynx"]

Major milestones

["Successfully pivoted from Ethereum mining to specialized AI infrastructure in 2019","Achieved 'Elite' status in the Nvidia Cloud Service Provider program in 2023","Secured a record-breaking $7.5B debt facility led by Blackstone in May 2024","Reached a $19B valuation following a $1.1B Series C round in May 2024","Announced a 5GW AI compute expansion plan following a $2B strategic investment from Nvidia in January 2026"]

Growth metrics

Projected revenue of $2B+ for 2024 (up from $500M in 2023); reached a $19B valuation in May 2024.

Market positioning

The leading specialized AI infrastructure challenger to legacy hyperscalers, positioned as the primary alternative for high-performance generative AI workloads.

Geographic focus

North America and Europe (with major data center expansions in the UK, Norway, and Spain).

Patents and IP

Proprietary software-defined infrastructure and custom orchestration logic for large-scale GPU clusters (specific public patent filings are secondary to their operational trade secrets and infrastructure scale).

About Michael Intrator

Michael Intrator is the Co-founder and CEO of CoreWeave. He has over 20 years of experience in asset management and energy markets. Prior to CoreWeave, he co-founded and served as CEO of Hudson Ridge Asset Management (2013–2018), a natural gas-focused hedge fund. He also spent 16 years as a Principal Portfolio Manager at Natsource Asset Management (1998–2014), where he managed global environmental and energy investment portfolios. His background in high-stakes energy trading and infrastructure scaling was instrumental in pivoting CoreWeave from Ethereum mining to becoming the world's leading specialized AI cloud provider.
