Value proposition
Provides objective, lab-grade measurement of movement quality outside of a traditional lab setting, offering actionable biomechanical feedback to prevent injuries and optimize performance.
Products and solutions
Movetru Sensor Platform: Wearable sensors with a mobile app/dashboard for real-time analytics., AI-Powered Movement Analysis: Automated detection of risky movement patterns and personalized recommendations., Performance Tracking Tools: Monitors progress for return-to-play decisions after an injury.
Unique value
Movetru makes advanced biomechanical diagnostics accessible and portable by using lightweight wearable sensors, eliminating the need for cameras or expensive, fixed motion-capture equipment.
Target customer
Athletic trainers, sports teams (collegiate/professional), physical therapists, and rehabilitation clinics.
Industries served
Sports & Athletics, Physical Therapy, Orthopedics, Collegiate & Professional Sports, Military Training
Technology advantage
Proprietary machine learning models trained on diverse athlete datasets for accurate detection of subtle biomechanical deviations linked to injury risk, with a key focus on female athletes who are underrepresented in sports science research.
How they differentiate
Movetru offers multi-sensor, full-body analysis, distinguishing it from Plantiga's foot-only focus. It emphasizes on-field usability over the clinical-heavy approach of DorsaVi and provides more granular injury-risk biomechanics than Kinexon's broader player tracking.
Main competitors
Plantiga, DorsaVi, Kinexon

About Naomi McGregor
Naomi McGregor is the Founder and CEO of Movetru, a company she established in 2020. Her journey into the world of MedTech was inspired by a personal setback—a career-ending ballet injury at the age of 14 that took three years to be properly diagnosed. This experience fueled her passion to prevent similar situations for other athletes. She leveraged her academic background in Product Design Engineering, dedicating her Master's dissertation to the concept that would become Movetru. Her leadership has resulted in the company securing significant pre-seed funding and launching its innovative wearable technology across Europe. She has been recognized for her entrepreneurial efforts, notably being named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Social Impact.
