About Birk Jernström

Birk Jernström is the founder and CEO of Polar. He is a serial entrepreneur, having previously co-founded Tictail, an e-commerce platform that was acquired by Shopify in 2018. At Shopify, he served as the Head of Product for the Shop App. His experience at Shopify, a giant in the e-commerce space, has given him deep insights into the challenges of monetization for developers and small businesses, which he is now addressing with Polar. His entrepreneurial journey started with Tictail, which he co-founded in 2011 and grew to a significant platform with over 100,000 businesses. This experience has given him a strong background in building and scaling technology companies.
